Skyliners Press Release

Date 11/2/2018

According to news reports released this week, Brendan Carter, now a former member of our staff, has been arrested and charged based on an investigation of actions he engaged in with his high school band students. The entire Skyliner family is deeply saddened and concerned for the students and the band programs affected. We all know many good people who have worked very hard in those programs to enrich the lives of students, and our thoughts and support are with them. We are also concerned for the safety and well-being of our members, and are conducting our own internal investigation, while providing all the support we can to help everyone during this difficult time.

Our staff members are contracted on a year to year basis, and no contract has been, or obviously will be, extended to Mr. Carter based on the information that has been released over the last 48 hours. As of now, we have not been contacted by the investigators in this case, but we have always understood our responsibilities in helping our legal system to provide justice in these matters, and will continue to do so in the future.

If you have any questions or concerns, we ask that you contact our Corps Director, Jeff Crawford, by email, at
